Our Approach
This site is a quiet record of Aden College — its location, its educational policies, and the people who passed through its gates. It collects the writings of editors, the recollections of former students, and the historical context that shaped the institution.
Dr. Abdulla Al Sayyari’s articles on the “Aden College phenomenon” examine how the college was established and the strategies behind its early direction. Together with the editorial team, they help piece together a picture of the school remembered by many.
“What, in your view, was the secret of Aden College’s success?”
What the Site Holds
Three areas of focus, gathered from the editors’ archive and the contributions of former students.

A Record of Notable Alumni
An article dated 16 May 2009, written by Dr. Shihab Ghanem, notes that over 2% of Aden College alumni became Prime Ministers, Ministers, or Deputy Ministers — a record the editorial team set out in their piece “Their Excellencies: Aden College Alumni beat Eton’s Record.”
Alumni such as Ali Jarallah (1966–1970), who graduated in Business Administration and joined the UAE Central Bank in Abu Dhabi in 1968 before retiring in 2010, are part of this continuing story.
